And it's big as a boulder With the chance I've been given I'm gonna be driven as hell | ||||||||
Name: Felicity Ashford Age: 19 Social Class: townsfolk Birthday: November 7 (Scorpio) Blood Type: O Family: - father, Andrew, 41, a stableman for the royal court - Melissa, 40, a maid in the royal court Preferred Element: Fire Felicity’s parents would have liked to have more children, but never felt that they could afford having another mouth to feed. They also would have liked to have great dreams for their only child but, as she was the daughter of two servants, any such dreams would have been naïve. For the first few years of her life, Felicity was like any other child. She played, she laughed, she cried. She also received a rudimentary education involving basic literacy, as well as a dash of history and arithmetic. Anything other than that was considered unnecessary and at the age of eight, she was deemed ready to pull her weight and work like everyone else. For the first year, she assisted her mother in cleaning duties. After this “apprenticeship” was done, Felicity was left on her own. She proved to have a steady hand and so soon was often called upon to serve food and drink, a task she soon learned to despise. In the court, it is a sign of a good servant to not be noticed. The ideal was to have invisible hands serving, while attention remained focused on those of importance. Felicity did this well, but it always angered her go so unnoticed. To be seen as so insignificant that those she had served for years likely did not even know her name. She knew life would be easier if she managed to get past the growing resentment. Her parents told her this countless times, but she just couldn’t do it. She hated these people and how superior they thought they were. But there was never anything she could do about it: not without getting thrown out on the streets. And so she did her best to bury her feelings and go about life, enjoying the moments when she didn’t have to deal with the nobles and their snobbery. The day of her nineteenth birthday would have passed without much notice, beyond a cake brought back by her mother, had the testers not discovered the potential for magic in her. While Felicity had sometimes thought about this possibility (what child in Fairn didn’t?) she had never seriously expected it to happen. But once the shock wore off, she recognized the potential her: she could throw off the mantel of servant and finally be able to show her former “betters” what she really thought of them. Felicity has spent her life being invisible, but it is not an accurate portrayal of who she is. In private, she can be quite loud and outspoken, especially against those she believes to have wronged her. But she also is very caring towards her family and friends and is well known for her jokes and silly streak. To say she has a chip on her shoulder about nobles would be more than accurate. She hates how servants are treated as little more than part of the scenery and she hates everyone who perpetuates this. She has always wanted a way to show them up and Everthorne has presented an opportunity that Felicity has vowed to not let slip away. Felicity is attractive, though more striking than traditionally beautiful. She is quite tall and thin and has wild, dark, curly hair. Her eyes are dark brown, almost black. She wears cheap, practical clothes because she can’t afford anything better. (Felicity is pbed by Saotome Junko from NANA, which the player claims no ownership of, for |
